SOCIAL LADIES
At Rosario Social Ladies everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to those who have played in the past and want to get back in the game.
We're an international group of girls coming from Brazil, Colombia, USA, Canada, and Germany. The Social Ladies have a team in the Northern Ireland FUTSAL League and take part in some 5, 7, and 9-a-side tournaments and friendlies throughout the year.
It's all a bit of fun with no obligation to play in matches; some members just come along on training night to keep fit and socialise. It's about meeting up once a week, getting a bit of exercise, playing the odd match, and above all else having a bit of craic.
FUTSAL TEAM
Rosario has a very active and successful male Futsal team playing in the Northern Ireland Futsal Federation. Our team was Northern Ireland Futsal Champions 2019/20. Membership is open to anyone over the age of 16. Contact them via Instagram - @rosario_futsal_club.
MENSHED
Our over-40s men meet every Monday night at 9 pm for social football in Ulidia. This is a light-hearted game of football purely for social interaction and exercise.
However, a club with the longevity of Rosario has generated a considerable number of ‘elder statesmen ‘. Whilst a good percentage of them remain connected to the club, through grandchildren etc, others have no contact on a regular basis. The establishment of a Men’s Shed at Rosario, with its well-documented physical, mental, and emotional benefits, will help reconnect with some of those no longer actively involved in the club.
Our elder statesmen meet every Friday at lunchtime for an hour's supervised exercise in a local gym. Every Monday from 2-3 pm we have our Menshed Danderball in Ulidia. There is no age limit – the older the better!
