Players aged 10 years and above can join our Junior Academy. Rosario has 20 boys’ teams and 10 girls’ teams playing at this level. We play with the National League and the South Belfast Youth League and take part in major annual tournaments, which have included trips to Europe and, more locally, such as the Foyle Cup. There are weekly training sessions and matches and all our young players get competitive match experience.
Our coaches are highly trained and committed volunteers who work hard every week to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for our young members. At this level, the children can stretch their footballing legs on a larger pitch and develop their skills in a more competitive environment.
Our coaches focus on developing a love for the game while ensuring our young players gain confidence on-and-off the ball. Our success is measured by improving members’ ability to play comfortably in possession. Rosario operates to a strict standard of fairness and sportsmanship on the pitch – how the match is played is as important as winning it.
Every night of the week Ulidia thrums to the energy of training sessions. The Club is fortunate to avail of the co-operation of Aquinas Grammar School, who let our young players practice in their pitches also.
