Good evening everyone,

As you may be aware, the South Belfast  Foodbank suspended its services earlier this week. However, due to local feedback and demand, Rosario, Bredagh and Ormeau Boxing Clubs have decided to help manage and coordinate this activity on behalf of the local community.

As part of our Community Outreach & Wellbeing activities we have pooled our resources to ask our members to donate food and grocery items to help the most vulnerable citizens in our community.

The Good Shepherd Foodbank volunteers, with the approval of Father Hickland, have kindly allowed us the use of the Foodbank Store to accommodate food/grocery donations and deliveries.

We have identified a number of key areas where we feel our interventions could help our most vulnerable and elderly citizens, during these challenging times.

As a member of Bredagh/Rosario/Ormeau Boxing Clubs there are a number of ways which you can help:

 a) by donating food/grocery items to Good Shepherd Parish Centre between 10am to 12noon each day. Please ensure goods are non-perishable and within their sell by dates. Donations should be left on the tables inside the entrance to the Parish Centre;

 b) offering to sort goods and making up bags to facilitate deliveries;

 c) transporting and distributing deliveries to those in need.

If you are able to help with either sorting or deliveries please email your contact details, time available and preferred activity to: holyrosaryparishcentre@gmail.com

Please also remember that you can continue make a financial donation to the South Belfast Foodbank by:

1) sending a cheque to South Belfast Foodbank, c/o City Church, 12-24 University Avenue, Belfast, or

2) by going online at www.southbelfast.foodbank.org.uk, go to the donations page at GoldenGiving where you can make a one-off donation without registering.

If you do make a financial donation please record by sending an email to holyrosaryparishcentre@gmail.com

Thank you to all our members in anticipation of your support
